We are seeking a skilled and experienced Front-end Engineering Manager to build, lead and mentor a team of front-end developers. As a Front-end Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of front-end development of our products, ensuring high-quality code, and driving innovation in user interface design. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, sales-marketing and back-end engineers, to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

As a leader, you shall lead teams in overcoming strategic obstacles with expert business acumen… and own the success of building and developing the Front-end Development Team as measured by high performing teams, retention, and growth in talent.

This role requires you to practice empathy, provide thought leadership and strive for excellence in delivering value for our clients. You will also be expected to participate in select projects to sharpen your technical skills and business acumen as it relates to Tresata software development & implementations.

As a Tresata Front-end Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. Build web applications with web development best practices
2. Hands-on and proven experience on front-end architectures
3. Transform app designs into front-end code with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
4. Work with back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases
5. Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical requirements / UX design
6. Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations
7. Proven experience to write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code
8. Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends and share knowledge with the team.
9. Manage and prioritize front-end product development and testing, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to product goals and objectives.
10. Review code, provide constructive feedback, and ensure high-quality standards are met in front-end product development.
11. Create a test plan for acceptance testing and review the test scripts.
12. Identify and implement performance optimization techniques to enhance the speed and efficiency of front-end applications.
13. Continuously evaluate and improve front-end development processes and workflows, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
14. Create and maintain technical documentation, including coding standards, guidelines, and best practices for front-end development.
15. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide product updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
16. Participate in the recruitment and hiring process, including conducting interviews and evaluating candidates/vendor partners for front-end engineering positions.

Requirements

WHAT SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE YOU NEED TO BRING

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
2. Minimum of 10-12 years of experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
3. Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue
4. Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and Bootstrap
5. Proficiency with HTML5, including semantic HTML5 elements, microformats, and WAI-ARIA
6. Familiarity with CSS preprocessors such as Sass, Less, or Stylus
7. Working knowledge of SEO principles
8. Experience with build tools such as Grunt, Gulp, or Webpack
9. Basic proficiency with Adobe XD and Figma
10. Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing
11. Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
12. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
13. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple products/projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
14. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
15. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is desirable.
16. Knowledge of REST Api
17. Unit testing and related framework experience.
